More Resources for Everyone During Covid

You can never have enough resources when it comes to this new virus and the impact it has on teachers. I love finding new resources and things to use that help other teachers be successful. I think what many fail to realize is that not only teachers need help, students do as well. I will be providing resources that help students, parents, and families during these unusual times.

This website here has been so helpful, with numerous articles and resources for distance learning and how the procedures will go when school starts reopening and how to make it safer for everyone. I love that it talks about what everyone is thinking from topics ranging from funding all the way to helping those recover from what they forgot while not being presently in school. I know during summer breaks if I was not given homework or any summer packets to learn from while being away from school I most likely would have forgotten what I learned the previous year before or not be as sharp as I was. I can only imagine the students who have forgotten the basics of interaction and being inside school again.

With everyone not being in school and relying on technology my biggest concern as well is how will funding support those that suffered during covid-19. This article here provides all the answers that are needed for families with children in day care, community college, and more. So many grants have been increased, there have been many investments in minority education institutions and I think these rules should have been in place but covid-19 has opened the eyes for many that many families are struggling to stay afloat in this economy. This helps anyone who is unfamiliar with the positive change they are trying to incorporate into public school systems and how they are trying to make everything right again.

Although, many more resources are available with school reopening and the world trying to return back to work with the help of the vaccine I feel it is important to educate on the changes coming ahead.
